As you can see from some of my sketches in the 100 poses, I have a thing for women in a fantasy settings. Well I do, and especially in skimpy, impractical armour! DO you have a problem with that? If so well just stop reading! Anyway after the 100 poses, I had a go at drawing my own characters.
Initial Attempt
| This is my first attempt at a complete character. She was abased upon my character from Dragon's Dogma, a truly amazing game. |
| I am not really into furry stuff, but I saw this image of a foxy girl on reddit (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30172324/) and I knew I had to draw her. |
| Yes those are cocks she is holding. This was an attempt to do this image (https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/3298661) |

| Belo Betty from One Piece. |
How to Draw Fantasy Art by Steve Beaumont
While I was pleased with these, I was still a bit unhappy with them. They look a bit weird and i found that I took really long getting the body and clothing right.
Then I picked up How to Draw Fantasy Art by Steve Beaumont on Play books. This is a great resource to learn drawing great characters. And I learned a lot from this book thus far. He takes you from posing and constructing to designing the characters. There are about 10 examples in all, and I've managed to get through 3 before being sidetracked on another project. I've included these below.
| The Elf Princess is the first character the book puts you through. This is the first drawing I've ever dine to completion and I love it. She is both badass and sexy. |
| The Enchantress. She has a different vibe than the Elf Princes. The head took me ages to get finished, and I'm not that happy with it. However, she is evilishly (not a real word) sexy. If you have a copy of the book, you would notice I took some liberty with the opening of her dress :-) |
Barbarian Warrior. I am not into drawing dudes, but this one was really good fun. leaning to use colouring was quite a learning experience. I don't use colouring that much as it takes almost double the time I would take to actually draw! I really like this guy, he is really scary!
